  1. Mariano, you should listen to your wife when she expresses concern that you are frittering away your time on this ultimately inconsequential blog.
I see a divorce in your future nut-boy.

  2. TED,

How pathetic a person YOU must be that you would spend YOUR time reading and commenting on a blog you deem "inconsequential" (big word, want a treat for that?).

When I find blogs I think are worthless, I act like a grown-up just ignore them. More likely your just like your atheist bros and sisters who fancy emotional outrage and ad hominems over logical arguments and reasonable discourse, for the very reasons that the former is easier and the latter eventually betrays how logically and morally defunct your worldveiw is.

What I'm trying to say is: grow up please.

  4. Designating a "year of the bible" is fine with me. Then we can proceed wirh the rest of the years "not of the bible."

    This is absurd beyond description.

The title of this blog is equally absurd as is also all this nonesense about an "emerging church."

    The "Church" is dying.
As people become more educated the church fades to gray where it ought to be.
Ken Ham has just pubslished a book, "Already Gone" about a study that he commissioned by a prominent Pollster. People are leaving the "Church" at a faster rate than ever.

People of the U.S. finally got fed up with being bullied by fundamentalist right wing christians.
Once Dobson, Falwel, Gingrich, et al tried to take religion into politics, they corrupted their religion. That is why we have BO as our president now.

People are no longer surrendering their logic and reason to buy in to ancient myths.
Atheism is not only dead, it has had new life breathed into it by the right wing fundies. Reccent studies show atheism growing at a dramatic rate. That though is just the tip of the iceberg.

Mainline Christians are becoming much more accepting of the sciences, especially concerning he age of the universe, etc, which effectively demoting the Genesis story to the myth/ allegory that it is.

When the fudies hitched their horse to the literal interpretation of the bible, they sealed their own fate.
Mainline Christians are distancing themselves from the cultish right wing fundies more each day and relegating them to the standing of lunatic fringe.

Stating that Atheism is Dead as the title of this blog is an exercise in delusion, at best.

  5. TED,
Whenever someone, particularly an atheist attempts to dissuade me I know that I am on the right track--thanks for the encouragement.

    Froggie,
You are the latest my friend, the latest in the church's 2,000 year history to claim that it is dying--mazel tov!
Every few months someone expresses that they are somehow flummoxed at the blog's title and no matter how many times I explain it, it does not seem to sink in.

    aDios,
    Mariano .
