  1. It's on my wish list...but the $200 price tag is a bit of a problem right now.

  2. So, if all of the arguments in this massive tome are found to be unsound can we put theism in its grave and move on to more interesting and fruitful topics?

  3. jdhuey,

Geez man. I'm becoming more and more convinced that your not human, but a computer that churns out random athiest one-liners.

Your rhetoric may seem cute to some, but it makes you appear unintelligent and very childish.

    p.s.
What exactly would you consider more interesting and fruitful topics?

    How about:
The Atheist Companion to Just How Useless and Meaningless We Are, so you can just ignore this book and it's contents anyway!

    What an amazing worldveiw!

  4. Its $160 at Amazon. A bargain.

The cover art is a portrait of Fra Luca Pacioli. It also appears on the cover of "The Measure of Reality: Quantification in Western Europe, 1250-1600". It only costs $24 at Amazon and is well worth reading, IMHO.

Pacioli was an important mathematician of his day and is best remembered as the father of double-entry bookkeeping. An appropriate poster child for natural theology.

  5. I think that I will just ignore the trollish insults and address:

"What exactly would you consider more interesting and fruitful topics?"

    1. Will Joss Whedon get involved with the new Buffy the Vampire Slayer movie?

    2. What is the latest research into the nature of Dark Matter? Is it really a different type of matter or do we need to modify our theory of Gravity?

    3. What is the best way to resolve the situation in Afghanistan and Pakistan (not to mention India)?

    4. The latest cartoon on xkcd.

    5. Will the spending from the stimulus package actually turn the economy around or will it just compound the problems already created?

    6. Shouldn't the Hubble be generating some new pictures by now?

    7. What is the best way to handle the detainees held in Gitmo?

    8. Should theoretical physicists abandon String Theory and focus on more testable ideas or should science reexamine its criteria about what constitutes good science?

    9. What is Summer Glau going to be doing now that TSCC has been canceled.

    10. ETC.

  6. A cure for cancer should be number one

  7. Two of my sisters have died from cancers and another had to have surgery and radiation treatment for skin cancer (she has had a full recovery). So, while I am deeply interested in cancer research and follow it closely, I find that it is too important a topic - it cuts a bit to close to the bone, so to speak - for it to be a topic of casual conversation in the comment section of a blog.
